Platinum matched pair PCC189 7ES8 Philips Holland very quiet ECC88 6DJ8 6922 sub

Two tubes (2 pcs), platinum-matched pair within 5% of the rare PCC189 7ES8, made by Philips in the Heerlen tube plant in the 1960s.

This is the original version, featuring a dual-stage large ring getter, which offers superior sound quality compared to the later small ring getter and A-frame types. The genuine Philips code is etched on each tube during sealing, along with the delta symbol for the Heerlen tube factory.

These tubes are incredibly quiet in RIAA preamps, thanks to the unique heater winding method, which differs from that of the ECC88.

They are fully compatible with ECC88 / 6DJ8 / E88CC / 6922 in nearly all applications and are often found relabeled as ECC88 / 6DJ8 by Philips Holland or Siemens Germany.

All pairs I have listed for sale are perfectly matched, with near-identical readings across all four triode sections, thanks to the large quantity I have in stock.

Each pair has been tested on a calibrated Tesla BM215M tester for plate current, and they have been checked for hum and noise in a preamplifier.
